The “Bouvet Guyane 2012” is a transatlantic rowing race connecting Sénégal to French Guiana and competed single-handed, non-stop and without assistance, by about thirty rowers on board 8.00 meter long one-design boats.

- Prologue october 2011, at Brest ( Brittany, western coast of France) ;
- Start of the race january 2012 from Dakar, Sénégal ;
- Between 40 and 60 days to cover the 2,600 nautical miles (4,700 km) of Atlantic crossing ;
- Finish and welcome of competitors between mars and april 2012 in the harbour of Cayenne ;
- Price giving at Saint Laurent du Maroni.
